DENR
gets a new secretary
President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo
has appointed Director Horacio Ramos of the Mines and
Geosciences Bureau as secretary of the Department of
Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
Executive
Secretary Eduardo Ermita announced the top-level personnel
movement at a media briefing held in Malolos, Bulacan.
The
erstwhile DENR secretary, Eleazar Quinto, has been appointed
director-general of the Presidential Coalition Affairs
Office. He replaced Maricor Imperial, who was in turn
appointed Cabinet secretary vice Silvestre Bello III.
Bello
resigned his position in the government to run for senator
under the administration party Lakas-Kampi-CMD. [top]
