PGMA to inspect new training center in Tondo

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo tomorrow will inaugurate, unveil the marker, and inspect the facilities of the extension building of Honorio Lopez Vocational Institute Inc. in Tayuman, Tondo.

Formerly known as the Sentro ng Karunungan Vocational Institute Inc. (SKVII), the training center is a non-government, non-profit organization offering free education to marginalized sectors of the community to help them develop and enhance their skills and thereby uplift their living condition.

As of December 2009, it graduated 8365 for community-based courses.

The President will be met by Manila Mayor Alfredo S. Lim, school officials, and Augusto Syjuco, chairman of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). (PND) [top]
